Thdremily1 (talk · contribs) - Though I have not made many edits, I strongly oppose vandalism I have a Degree in Computer science and Data Infrastructure which I could use to my advantage as an admin. I sometimes spend time searching through Wikipedia looking for things such as Personal Attacks, Vandalism and the like. I believe I would make an excellent sysop and would do everything in my power to stop vandalism, I have already familiarized myself with wikipedia and its outstanding UI for editing and uploading information. Wikipedia is already a spectacular web site and I feel that my dedication to providing relevant and organized information to every one will only benefit the wikipedia community. Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. It is recommended that you answer these optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to decrease vandalism on wikipedia a great deal, one of my great issues is vandalism, I believe that wikipedia should be a place where people should feel free to visit and learn from without the risk of running into false information, a personal attack or other type of issue.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I have not made many page edits after I created a wikipedia account, mostly because the information which I know about is already so rich thanks to the many people who contribute to wikipedia's extensive data bases and articles. I have checked for things such as conflicting information in articles and other minor errors which most likely are not malicious but instead are simply accidental. I have also reported many obvious vandalism attacks which need to be dealt with immediately.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: There have been issues where a Attacker who's User Name will not be disclosed had put up an article which had no relevance to the subject at hand. When I removed the unneeded comment, I returned to find that it had been re-posted by what I suspected to be the same user. I reported the incident to a sysop who promptly disabled the user and blocked him. This is what got me interested in becoming an admin. I want to be able to stop vandalism as quickly as possible and being an admin would give me the ability to do so.
